Confed Once Again Tops the Social Entrepreneurship Performance Ladder

For the eighth time in a row, Confed has topped the Social Enterprise Performance Ladder (PSO). Only companies that engage as a high-quality and sustainable social enterprise are eligible for this important certification mark. Confed has once again achieved PSO Level 3, placing it in the highest category.

A matter of course

“We are very proud of this highest possible recognition for what we do,” says CEO Eric Stodel, “even though we actually regard social entrepreneurship as a self-evident part of our company. We exclude no one; we look for opportunities and focus on everyone’s qualities and talents. In doing so, we are proving once again that a healthy bottom line goes hand in hand with social entrepreneurship, day in, day out. It’s not as difficult as people often think. I hope that, with this recognition, we can set an example for other entrepreneurs.”

The other way round

Following an extensive assessment, Confed has once again been awarded the Step 3, 30+ Certificate. This means that more than 30 per cent of Confed’s employees face barriers towards employment. “Incidentally, I believe it’s the other way round,” adds Eric Stodel, “We work in a world where the labor market creates barriers for people with special talents."
